Great idea!
I'm a sucker for little gadgets. I saw this and thought I might as well try it. Just used it for the first time and really enjoyed it! It does work and holds keys, camera, other things to hang (probably not a towel). This was a fun purchase and fits in my umbrella bag with the beach umbrella.I would suggest looking into the umbrella stand (www.umbrellastands.com) if you'd like to buy something that will hold your umbrella in the ground at different places (backyard, park, sporting events and possibly the beach - haven't tried it at the beach yet). This was a great buy as well so I can have my shade wherever I want it whenever I want it!

This idem is very fun to build. It is a "MILITARY MINIATURES" kit, so if you are under 10 this might be too hard. Heck, im only 9, so to anyone who is under 10, go ahead and order it. It says "cement and paint not included" on the front of the box, but the sand bags are already the same color that they are supposed to be. Instead of using "cement" I used a hot glue gunand it had an even better effect. To anybody who is interested: I recommend this idem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fundamental tool of toy soldier dioramas.
Any diorama builder worth his/her salt uses sandbags as a fundamental element to establish the position of the toy soldier in the battlefield scene. The sand bag establishes line of attack,static positions such as observation posts even when camouflagued, command and control positions, firing lines/sniper positions, etc. Depicting the action in and around sandbag redoubts, showing hand to hand combat, etc. all acquire heighten focus when using sandbags to establish the action in a relative localize space amidst the diorama.Tamiya's product is simple to use and its color need not be painted. Some trimming of excess spruce is needed. The total number of individual sandbags does not lend to grand action scenes but all around I find it a great product for the hobbyist.

Buy a few of them
These are excellent for any sandbag barricade, they are easy to glue together; I have not yet painted them as they do not need it for most tasks. They are a good step in adding that real look to barricaded layouts. I will be ordering a few more because they don't come with very many with respect to what I need.

Unbelievable value!
I'm convinced that you can't find a much better deal on sandbags than these. They're heavy duty, lined, double zippered and have a tough handle on the top. They're perfect for draping over a lightstand (as shown) or clipping onto a boom. I got the 4 pack and made 2 heavy bags and 2 medium bags so I have options in the field.Great value, quality, and versatility.

Just know about the zippers....
The bags are well built except for the zippers. To describe the zippers as crap would be polite. But having said that, I would easily buy them again...in fact, I might buy a few more. Here is what you do...put your sand in gallon size zip lock baggies and then place the filled baggies into the sand bags...zip 'em up and forget ever touching the zipper again. Works like a charm. I bought a sixty pound bag of "play sand" at Home Depot. It was exactly the right amount of sand to fill all 4 sand bags.
